The "gender critical" movement are not appealing their loss in their fight to stop the puberty blocker trial. The "irreversible harm" James is talking about here is people being trans. That's it. Helen Joyce said it clearly, even if trans people say they are happy they consider them to be "harmed."

You only have to look at the veneration of the recently deceased Rod Liddle by prominent women in the "gender critical" movement (Kathleen Stock, Rosie Duffield etc.) to know that their claim to be "protecting women" is utter nonsense.

The Guardian is strangely silent on its contribution to the right wing, mass media hysteria about ‘undesirables’ such as trans people.

All I’ll say here is: these papers were also poisonously destructive and hateful 15 years ago. What happened in the interim period is, they realised that they are holding all the microphones, so they can decide on the public’s behalf what is and isn’t real, and nobody can stop them doing it.

The "gender critical" movement have lost both of these cases today.

JK Rowling offered to bankroll legal action against Féile Belfast, because JK Rowling is the GCs legal "heavy" when it comes to threatening organisations. "We're backed by a billionaire," is a very scary threat to most orgs, which is why Rowling was so snide and confident here. But, they lost.

Make no mistake, what the "gender critical" movement wanted was to force Féile Belfast into compliance through lawfare. That is their modus operandi when it comes to dealing with any org that shows a scintilla of support for trans people. They lost this time, and they're struggling to cope with it.

Roísin is the one helping to create a climate of fear around trans people just trying to live their lives, and her thinking around trans rights is entirely conspiratorial, when, all that is happening is that people are loudly disagreeing, and deciding they don't much want to listen to her anymore.1/

"As proceedings developed, further issues of law and associated risks became clear..." Somehow, they and their legal team were convinced they were about to lose so badly in court that they completely dropped their challenge and even gave up the right to protest Féile. 1/

JK Rowling was obviously not feeling like enough of a "victim" yesterday, she found a Twitter account with 55 followers that had hoped she killed herself, quote-tweeted it in a "look at what trans activists are like," tweet, ignoring the mountains of cogent criticism of her hatred of trans people.

If you didn't know anything about this issue and read this "report" you would swear the "gender critical" movement had their event reinstated by Feile, unless you read all the way to end. Féile: Women's organisation withdraw legal challenge over cancelled event

The Women’s Rights Network NI says it has reached an agreement with Féile while the festival said it as “vindication” for its position.

I was initially disappointed at how they had come to book the event in the first place, and was sure it would end up with years of legal wrangling (as a lot of these things do), but the people in Féile seem to know what they are at, and this is a solid and beautiful fuck off to transphobia.

This is Rowling's pinned tweet, and yet, just this week, she is funding legal cases against Féile Belfast and Amnesty International for exercising their free speech and fair opinion. She is using her massive wealth to terrorise these orgs into compilance, because she doesn't believe in free speech.

I would love to see JK Rowling take to a stand, under oath, to defend herself and her org as not anti-trans. All those tweets, from her and all the people she has endorsed over the years, just lying out there ready to go. I would pay into any crowdfunder that would guarantee that would happen.
