Godless, irredeemable, potato gobbler. She/her

hey @cnn.com there has got to be a way to report these stories about Trump being mad about charging decisions of individual US attorneys without normalizing the idea that the president personally supervises charging decisions of individual US attorneys, I know we can do this

CNN: The other source, a senior administration official, said Trump was “blindsided” by the court filing from Pirro, a longtime ally. “The president did not know beforehand that she was going to do that.”

This is why their claims of “advocating for women’s safety” when in fact they’re just being virulently transphobic are a joke. Like the churches they mock, they were happy to throw us under the bus at the first sign their hierarchy was threatened. Did they think we'd fucking forget?

Apropo of absolutely nothing, one of the reasons New Atheism is now despised and mocked is that when allegations came out about its figureheads (all men), the self-appointed leaders (generally all men) decided the best way to deal with that was silencing, sophistry, mocking, and legal threats.

Only just found out about this For the record, you don't get multiple genetic markers and one of the most effective medications known to science with 'social constructs' Channel 4, this is, in scientific parlance, an absolute fu*king disgrace that will genuinely endanger lives #c4 #ADHD

New Channel 4 documentary, The Great ADHD Myth?, seeks to determine whether ADHD is a genuine neurodevelopmental disorder, or a social construct

The irony of Kareem being the secretary of a ‘Free Speech’ organisation using a veiled threat of legal action to shut down my questions about their relationship with Atheist Ireland, has just dawned on me. This was a tactic that AI used to employ liberally at the time too.

Tweet from ExMuslims Ireland dated 24th July, 2017, to me saying ‘we have been advised not to respond to you any further as it has now become a legal matter. Peace.’

As an aside, I was interested to learn that the secretary of Free Speech Ireland until 2024 was Kareem Musshin, one of the founders of Ex-Muslims Ireland, a group started in 2016 in apparent collaboration with, and to a massive fanfare by, Atheist Ireland and its permachair Michael Nugent

I'm old enough to remember back to July 2024 when the explicitly Christian and SPLC designated hate group, ADF International ,together with 'Free Speech Ireland' funded a summit in Dublin featuring Glinner, Laoise De Brún (The Countess) and Stella O'Malley on the 'Speaking Truth on Gender' panel.

The overwhelming right wing sentiment is that COVID was an engineered bioweapon that was also harmless. Trump overreacted to it by shutting down the country, then engineered a drive to create a vaccine that was the real bioweapon that killed millions, and it's Joe Biden's fault.

JK Rowling offered to bankroll legal action against Féile Belfast, because JK Rowling is the GCs legal "heavy" when it comes to threatening organisations. "We're backed by a billionaire," is a very scary threat to most orgs, which is why Rowling was so snide and confident here. But, they lost.

'But the idea that Graham is a bigot is simply not credible to those of us who know him.' - Michael Nugent, Chair of Atheist Ireland.

Hi @michaelnugent.bsky.social, as chair of @atheistireland.bsky.social , purporting to represent all Irish atheists, do you continue to endorse Graham Linehan's views on trans people in light of this tweet? Are Amnesty Ireland allowed to call this anti-trans or not, in your view?

"No, that was just me making fun of you retarded transvestites."

Amnesty International UK has revenues of ~£24.1 million, ~75% from individual donations. Rowling was willing to put unlimited resources into making an example of them. Faced with that existential threat, they decided to throw their own employees under the bus. This work will have to fall to others.

Everywhere I look today I keep seeing: 1) deadly wildfires ripping through our communities 2) people desperately trying to get by as energy costs soar 3) record oil & gas profits When will we see that these three things are connected? www.wsj.com/business/ene...

Big Oil Is Reaping Rewards From the Chaos in Energy Markets

ExxonMobil’s earnings doubled and Chevron posted its highest quarterly earnings on record as energy prices soared during the prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Make no mistake, what the "gender critical" movement wanted was to force Féile Belfast into compliance through lawfare. That is their modus operandi when it comes to dealing with any org that shows a scintilla of support for trans people. They lost this time, and they're struggling to cope with it.

Tweet by Heather Binning, founding member of the so-called "Women's Rights Network."

I am disappointed but not surprised that the men of the Feile team took to social media to gloat and crow about their intransigence. There was no win for them and representing it that way is disingenuous.

WRN wished for Feile to WANT to reinstate our panel discussion rather than be FORCED to.

However despite cancelling our event, Feile provided us with a platform far bigger than merely west Belfast to get our message heard across Northern Ireland and further afield. Conversations about whether women have the right to speak openly and honestly, about whether a publicly funded organisation - regardless of its origins - should ensure it represents ALL lawful viewpoints and experiences, and demonstrate for the world to see just exactly who is trying to marginalise who here.

Who knew women were such a threat!

Respect, rights and reality - I’ll buy you a dictionary.

I'd use the term 'sophistry' to describe the Atheist Pope's latest screed, but I feel the term imbues a cleverness that doesn't exist below the surface of his usual templated bullshit.

Exclusive: Officials who separated Pete Buttigieg from his young twins last month relied on a vague and unsubstantiated allegation from an accuser authorities later deemed possibly “mentally unstable,” according to unreported police records.

The Michigan attorney general’s office is investigating how the accusation that prompted the ex-Cabinet secretary's separation from his 4-year-old twins was handled.

The argument usually boils down to “this person, who seems in every aspect to be a Nazi, cannot be a Nazi, because Nazis are socially unacceptable, and he is being accepted, for example by Me.”

Rowling looming over a progressive Irish cultural festival with her menacing insinuations & a phalanx of expensive lawyers dashing off legal letters. And all because the organisers don’t want transphobes peddling hate at their event. A nauseating spectacle of spite.
