Let me be blunt: the way that the UK's media has approached this year's Holyrood election, particularly vis a vis commissioning MRPs, has been the most staggeringly and frankly offensively useless attitude that I have seen in any of the four Holyrood elections I've been able to vote in. Good gods.

Christopher Harborne, the largest shareholder in QinetiQ, has donated c.£22,700,000 to Reform UK. 92% of QinetiQ's income is from the MoD. The UK government, in this way, subsidises Reform UK. I think I'm the only one who's reported this @bylinetimes.bsky.social
Seems that Nigel Farage's first cabinet - should the old fraud succeed - will mainly comprise failures from the Tories and UKIP. Not a cheering prospect.

Again, I really do have concerns about exactly how Justin Webb is acquiring his knowledge of US politics or what prompted him to make this exact point.

What I'm seeing on here is overwhelming condemnation; despair at the violence of US politics; alarm at where this might go; & calls for equal horror at other shootings.
This is the leadership countries should expect - one which stands up for all the people who make up that nation. A voice which speaks up for all of Scotland's people is needed, now more than ever. As Westminster and England lurch to the Far Right, It is clear #Scotland is on a different path.
