What riles me up about “people tried to shut down PP research” is that Cuddy’s own coauthor-turned-critic Carney guest-edited a whole special issue of Registered Reports on Power Posing (incl a meta-analysis), which shows strong evidence against PP even though most authors clearly weren’t sceptics.

Amongst all the rubbish that I have seen in peer reviewed papers, this data is the worst. There are sketches, images of children (with no mention of ethics) and multiple celebrities, whilst the paper states: "A smart camera located in patient rooms has been used to collect images".
