This is so concerning to me because there are multiple inaccuracies in this post (I couldn’t bring myself to read the full recap, just this is enough to enrage me), but people read it and assume it’s fact. In order to have constructive conversations we have to be working with accurate information.

"Investing in modern [energy] infrastructure is not just an energy issue, it is an education imperative." AG's thesis is that modernizing energy infrastructure improves student learning, which is sort of a weird take...feels like something someone working in energy infrastructure would write?

Those of you who read WPS in Brief might read this and think I wrote it. Similar format, tone, even rephrased my tag line “my goal is to help you feel informed without feeling overwhelmed.” It’s not me. My guess is the writer used AI, which scraped my work.

So my mom (who is in her seventies) just told me that growing up they had a pail in a hole in the yard that they put food waste into and that was called the garbage. And the trash was all other waste. How am I learning this for the first time and is this why it’s called a garbage disposal?!

In order for kids to walk to school and bus stops safely tomorrow the sidewalks and street corners need to be cleared. Let’s all do our part to clear them so kids don’t walk in the street! And please slow down while driving. The snow banks make it hard to see kids trying to cross!

Regardless of whether I was editing the story, I would have loudly said to the Page 1 editor, " 'Jury finds Etel guilty' is a bull--it, lazy headline. It should be 'Jury delivers split verdict'." #WordsMatter

An email I sent to school committee about the lack of good faith conversation around my petitions for student privacy protections heard at TLSS. (Except for Vanessa Alvarez who was incredibly prepared and thoughtful.)

Every time I go by the lots at Roosevelt School during school hours, they are already full, long before school ends. The issue is cars idling in the breakdown lane and blocking driveways starting an hour before dismissal. That’s the problem to address. A parking ban won’t solve anything.

Both Fantasia and Ricardi said they were told the parking lot was for Roosevelt teachers and staff and they were not allowed to park there. Fantasia felt if parents could use the parking lot or the lane outside Roosevelt, traffic on Grafton Street would ease up. "I think it would take a lot of congestion off Grafton Street," Fantasia said. "Even if we could make a big loop, it would take 15 to 20 cars off Grafton Street." Fresolo said that was an issue he planned to address during the trial parking ban. "That needs to be addressed," Fresolo said. "Those 30-plus parking spots were designed solely to get cars off Grafton Street." During the trial ban, which could become permanent if successful, Fresolo said the city would work with school administration to ensure parents could get into the school's parking lot prior to 2 p.m. in order to take cars off the street.
