The best thing about Vote Blue No Matter Who is that it unloads a lot of cognitive burden. I wanted Tom Steyer to be in the Governor's race, but he's not so I'm gonna vote for Becerra. I don't follow his campaign at all: I'm voting for him because he's not a Republican.
Good losers (laudatory) are the backbone of a strong party.
A gracious concession: “I want to congratulate Abdul El-Sayed on winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. He is a doctor, a community health official, a Rhodes Scholar, and a dedicated Michigander. I am proud to offer my support as he takes on Mike Rogers in the general election…

Oh and I forgot the other absolutely real one: litter. Anybody who doesn't remember the 80s has no idea how much trash was *everywhere*!
Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.
Sorry man, can't hear you over the delicious Bahn Mi I'm eating. I'll try again tomorrow night while I'm eating at the Korean BBQ place. It's quieter.
You're kidding, right? My local sub shop went out of business a few years later. McDonald's went downhill. Roy Rogers is all but out of business. Blimpie practically disappeared. The Rustler closed. Pizza declined. Ice cream went from 2 to 1.5 quarters. The only thing that's gotten better is coffee.
You used to have to carry a whole kit for anaphylaxis, a syringe, tourniquet, the whole deal. If you don't have a severe allergy, I promise you do not understand what a game changer epipens were

And more people can eat it! Gluten free, dairy free, etc. was only for the crunchiest of hippie stores. Now every grocery store stocks them and they taste good! 20 years ago I bought a gluten free cookie and spat it out. Today a gluten free bakery is my favorite treat myself spot.

Gen X and millennial hipster craft gastronomy genuinely changed the world.

A few years ago, I was behind a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS. It was beautifully restored, but the exhaust still smelled awful. Catalytic converters are a godsend.
I recently learned that despite the rapidly rising number & share of Oregonians over 75, the number & share of Oregonians with ambulatory disabilities has been falling slightly Seems good

Important to remember that Miller was hired by Trump as a white house aid in 2016, so his entire political career has basically been about sexual and spousal abuse.
TAPPER: Hold on -- hold on, 'cause I'm not done with the list of women who have accused you of violence. Are all three of them lying? REP. MAX MILLER: Yes. And I'm not getting out of the race because in 2016, President Donald J Trump faced the most extreme allegations in the world ...
alright let's do real discourse: five books *by bad people* that are still good or great books Ender's Game: Orson Scott Card The City and The City, China Mielville The 13 Clocks, James Thurber Lord of the Flies, William Golding Confessions, Augustine

Israel's corrupt ethnonationalist government is on the cusp of concluding its genocidal program with a series of acts which will likely result in a regional conflict that will dwarf all current and recent conflicts and result in millions suffering and dying.
Really bad www.theguardian.com/world/2026/a...
In 2016, Trump released this anti-HRC ad that included a Star of David, implying that she was a Jewish-owned corrupt puppet. I remember pointing this out on FaceBook at the time and being more horrified by the denialism among my friends than I was by the ad. Sometimes slippery slopes are real.
Depicting Jewish people with horns is a centuries-old, dehumanizing, antisemitic trope. Democratic Gov nominee Phil Weiser is outspoken about his mother’s birth in a Nazi concentration camp, his family members killed in the Holocaust, and the threat posed by antisemitism today.
5 ships have been disabled or destroyed in the last 24 hours between the Bab al Mandab and the Strait of Hormuz. Iran is close to finalizing a deal with Oman to create essentially a private toll waterway that no company who deals with the West can use bc of sanctions. Oil is below $80/barrel.
These videos are so similar to the anti-immigrant and anti-Black ones slopped out by our own nationalist authoritarians that it really feels like the only thing keeping them from uniting as an even greater worldwide menace is their own foundational racism.
Chinese viral AI videos are turning foreigners into villains, flooding Chinese social media. They depict foreigners as threats to China’s social, moral, and national order. Strong, confident Chinese people confront, violently beat, and humiliate them in defense of their country. See more below🧵

Found another one in the Von's parking lot! This one's a panel van and some toy bombed the car bomb which sucks.
So, I guess this means Making War Great Again with bombers, dumb bombs, and artillery like World War II from here on out?
