I am beyond angry about what's happening at the Post today. A newspaper must not be a plaything for billionaires. This decision spits in the face of every DC native who cherished the Post, not to mention its incredible staff. Needless to say, my subscription is canceled.

Chelsea Janes@chelseajanes.bsky.social · 6mo agoNews: Dan Kolko will succeed Bob Carpenter doing play-by-play on Nationals broadcasts this year, according to multiple people familiar with the decision. Kolko filled in regularly for Carpenter last year and has been a part of Nats coverage in various roles since 2012.

Fien was the 12th overall pick in this year's draft, a high school shortstop whose bat is ahead of his glove. Rosario was a huge pop-up name, who broke out in 2024 and looked like an ace until he needed Tommy John. He should be back this season.

Here are two players who both spent their age 27-29 seasons in NPB. Player A: Throws L Fastball 91-92 315.2 IP 2.57 ERA 9.1 K/9 2.0 BB/9 7.3 H/9 Player B: Throws L Fastball 91-92 411.2 IP 2.69 ERA 9.1 K/9 1.7 BB/9 7.3 H/9 Player A is Foster Griffin. Player B is Shota Imanaga.
I'm guessing the Nationals told Griffin he'd have a spot in their rotation. If so, I think it looks something like: Locks: Gore (pending trade), Cavalli, Griffin Inside track: Irvin, Lord Returning from injury: Gray, Herz In the mix: Parker, McGarry?

The problem has been that it makes them all worse and he has consistently struggled pitching in that role.
