“You have no right to privacy in public.” Well, I should? This was fine before smartphones, surveillance infrastructure, and pervert predator glasses. Things are different now and we’re allowed to demand a better society.

I always knew The Number Ones would lose it eventually, mainly because modern popular music sucks in a way older stuff usually did not, but giving 10 stars to a ten minute overindulgence is where we part ways for good

this happened to me trying to explain how free school lunch saves money because you don't have to pay the for the software to track payments and send letters. people just want poor kids to be hungry. they want them to see other kids eating while they starve. a bunch of people are just evil.

it took me an unfortunately long time to realize they weren't against universal healthy care because they couldn't economically do it, they were just against it on principle, their principle being, everyone poorer and more in need than me can just die

Headlines: Such-and-such technology may someday be as smart as human brains! Reminder: *We already have human brains.* Billions of them. Most of them living in poverty and being exploited for the obscene benefit of a tiny number of the worst people in the world.

These are the sorts of reactions to this I'm seeing – not that there aren't assholes melting down out there, but the thing is that there always are. Try to curate your feed so you only get the pure unadulterated positivity you get out of someone like Cargill here. Better than being pissed off.

Criterion's K-POP DEMON HUNTERS release is targeting a generation just discovering the wonders of collecting physical media at a time when physical media companies need it most, while also introducing their catalogue to young movie lovers. This is a genius move. Get the kids into Criterion!

Screaming Mad George is forever a horror legend for the Shunting alone, but also that gnarly cockroach kill in ANOES 4, goopy gory work on Bride of Re-Animator, Predator and so much more more. I get a thrill anytime I see "surreal fx by Screaming Mad George" in film credits. This one hurts. RIP 💔
