What am I doing with my soul? Interrogate yourself, to find out what inhabits your so-called mind and what kind of soul you have now. A child’s soul? A tyrant’s soul? Soul of a predator — or its prey? ~ Marcus Aurelius Meditations 5.11 #introspection #photography #rockyriver
July 29 2026. On this #fullmoon day, we honor our guides, those who point us towards the light, and more ~ sharing some thoughts on this day ~ 🙏🏽😌 #Spiritchat #poetry #silence #GuruPoornima “My Conversation with the Divine Guru” blog.eaglespace.com/conversation...
A5) Just my opinion...I believe that many learn over time that freedom of expression should not equal freedom to express every though that arises. We need to learn discernment, + learn when we should speak up/ when to be silent. i.e. speak for those who cannot speak for themselves #spiritchat
Q5. The connection(s) between #silence, freedom of expression and justice... Do consider. #Spiritchat
A2) Many of us have lives filled with occupations that require a great deal of thinking/planning/writing/communicating. In healthcare, this is often done without a break during the day. That has been my challenge. I resort to following my breath in the car between visiting patients. #spiritchat
Q2. What are some reasons that (inner) silence eludes us in daily life... or does it? #Spiritchat
A1) part 2...Depths of Silence reminds me of the many layers involved in learning how to BE 'silent', especially after being heavily involved with busyness of life and the dominant intellectual thinking mind. #spiritchat
Let’s begin! Q1. “Depths of Silence” ~ take a moment to observe/listen... what does your heart or mind hear? #Spiritchat
Blog post updated with Qs discussed in our live #bluesky chat and gathering in #Spiritchat on Sunday, July 26 at 9amET / 1pmUTC ~ Topic: Depths of Silence bit.ly/sc140-silenc... Host: @ajmanik.bsky.social #silence #stillness #meditation
Some of us are designed to be social beings (as I am). I can only dream at this point of a day when schools incorporate human design into their structures: both teachers and students could relate through their definitions or openness. When we get together, we can get stimulated to speak! #spiritchat
A8: #spiritchat those of us who have the gift of gab need to use it wisely in today’s world. Speak up when the oppressed need defending and continue to learn the benefits of silence to achieve inner peace and to develop strength to use words properly when they are needed the most.
A8: Being able to sit in silence and reflect is a gift and privilege. I had a thought this morning that practicing some chanting gives us the blessing of the silence afterwards. #spiritchat Thanks for the spaces in between ,in todays chat @ajmanik.bsky.social
A8 To promote silence, put the cellphone down and back away and nobody gets hurt. #SpiritChat
A7: I have a favorite musical artist who used to say he would only write songs when he had 'something to say'. I think that's an interesting filter. Then sometimes, just joining a conversation can bring enlightenment we did not expect. #spiritchat
A8: My takeaway is simple, create a little more space before you react. A few mindful breaths can change a conversation, a relationship, or even the direction of your day. #spiritchat
Takeaway Q8. Action step(s), to deepen our inner silence, and of the world at large.... Thank you. Namaste. #SpiritChat
A7: The FKR community taught me that corruption thrives when good people stay silent. I learned that using my voice with integrity is one small way to push back against injustice. #spiritchat
Q7. A community or individual that has inspired/taught you to ‘break the #silence’ when necessary? What did you learn? #Spiritchat
A beautiful conversation on #silence today… deep gratitude to all who have been part of this community over all these (fifteen) years… Namaste. 🙏🏽 💙 #Spiritchat
It’s 10amEDT, July 26 2026. Deeply grateful to all who shared on ‘Depths of Silence’ today. May our hearts spread peace and silence into our world when needed. Namaste. #Spiritchat
A7 I never got that lesson. I do believe that sometimes we do have to speak up, tell the truth, and hope to be heard. #SpiritChat
Takeaway Q8. Action step(s), to deepen our inner silence, and of the world at large.... Thank you. Namaste. #SpiritChat
A6: I think the statement is helpful because it brings us back into ourselves for reflection. Perhaps we could add avoiding blurting something out and taking a breath to consider before speaking to the saying in Q6, then people have a 'how' as well as a 'what'. #spiritchat Ooh! An essay!
A6 Mom used to say, "If you don't have anything good to say about somebody, don't say anything." Of course, then she told us. #SpiritChat
A6 I guess I agree with the statement. Talking just to break the silence doesn’t make a lot of sense. However, it’s really hard to be quiet when everyone is silent and wondering why everyone else is thinking. #Spiritchat
Q7. A community or individual that has inspired/taught you to ‘break the #silence’ when necessary? What did you learn? #Spiritchat
A6: silence can be one of most powerful messaging. #SpiritChat
A3: #spiritchat as a child, when I was told to be silent in class…. Well it made things worse lol. My parents had to get involved. My father, the strong silent type just looked at me. My mom, in her infinite patience explained why silence was sometimes necessary. 😊🤫🤐
A4: #spiritchat back with a few minutes left. This question is important. I go from very chatty (believe it or not) to very quiet. When I’m quiet people usually infer an emotion to my silence. Sometimes silence is simply that…. Silence. 🙏
I like that saying "a pregnant silence". #spiritchat
