Today, we have seen a reckless and unprecedented violation of Poland and Europe's airpace by more than 10 Russian Shahed drones. Europe stands in full solidarity with Poland. Europa jest w pełni solidarna z Polską.

Climate change is making each summer harsher and more dangerous. We are radically stepping up climate resilience efforts, and we also need tools to respond when disaster strikes. This is why we will propose a new European firefighting hub. We know the difference EU cooperation makes.

Russia should pay for the war it started. To finance Ukraine’s war effort, we support a new solution: a Reparations Loan on the basis of Russian assets – the cash balances associated to these assets.

Europe’s independence is about protecting our freedoms. And free press is the backbone of democracy. We will launch a Media Resilience Programme to support journalism and media literacy. And keep backing independent and local media - because corruption happens in the dark.
