so i've been working on a comic for the past year(ish) now, and it's finally done! been eager to finally put it out into the world and hope you enjoy! Anyway, this is T.V. Dad

panel 1 - A title screen akin to the sitcoms of the 1950's. It reads "Franklin Studios presents... T.V. DAD! America's favorite dad!" With the heads of the 4 characters floating around. A dad with a fedora and a pipe, a mom, a little brother and a big sister. panel 2 - Dad is sitting in the back at a kitchen table with his face covered by a newspaper, mom is in the foreground with eggs in a skillet. Dad says "Mmmmm! What's cookin', dear?" Mom says "Eggs, Honey! Your favorite!" panel 3 - Close on Dad, he says "Hot DOG! Lucky me!". We can see closer at the front of the newspaper which reads "A TOTAL DISASTER! Contaminated water supply makes population believe they're in the 1950's."

Son: "You should cool it! panel 6 - Son: "I don't think ROBBIE is gonna wanna date someone so violent." Audience "Oooooo"'spanel 1 - Daughter, enraged: "You DID snoop! UGH!!" panel 2 - Daughter chasing son around Dad. Daughter says "I can't BELIEVE you would do this to me! Dad, DO something!" panel 3 - Son: "She's going crazy!! Dad, DO something!" panel 4 - Both son and daughter are whipping around Dad speedily chasing eachother round and round, Dad looking worried. Both are chanting "DAD! DAD! DAD! DAD!" panel 5 - Dad shoots out of chair and stands up, Dad shouts: "ENOUGH!!!" panel 6 - Dad looks stern, looking at two children, who are silent and attentive.

i wrote a short comic for Issue 6 of The Fruitslice (@ thefruitslice on IG) around the theme of queer ecology, and wanted to explore that theme with some thoughts on the existence queerness in nature (1/2)
