not to be corny but 20 year old me would flipout knowing i'd put this show together. we've had a good chunk of goats on previous shows, but this feels like a special milestone. info & tickets are here: frogfarm.online/frogfarm13

cartoon guy. also i run frogfarm.online
LOL i found the maps i made for a feature script i wrote with alex swift 4 years ago. it's basically dazed and confused except set on a lake during the last few days of summer, oh and there's a whole secret goblin realm subplot (see second map.)
least relatable thing for me in games culture is everyone's love of speedrunning. it's neat on it's surface, and i understand why game designers are interested in something that is breaking the intended purpose - it's cool that human behavior veers toward breaking the rules set up for them etc etc
i'm not arguing against self-publishing, obviously, and tbh if you want to be a cartoonist and aren't trying to self-publish (at least once,) you're a loser BUT in my experience most cartoonists (even in our indie/alt comic world) are not interested in self-publishing, especially in the long term.
dear cartoonists: publish it yourself.

finally finished reading dune messiah. not to be rude, but there's room for improvement in the next movie lol.
the chatter amongst everyone 35-40+ about backrooms is really funny. they talk about like teenagers being a big fan of the "IP," but none of them talk about how the youth became big fans of it.
why does every youtuber just have like 1h30 long video essays now......? feeling extremely unc complaining about this, but what happened to the nice 15-20 min vid? lol
ive got huge niche complaints about this new-ish hollow press book about fake videogames, but ive niche complained to a few friends about it and they dont care about my niche complaints bcuz it is so inconsequential lol

The wait is over: we are thrilled to announce we are publishing the complete Forming collection on 9/1! Originally begun in 2009 and garnering hundreds of thousands of followers online, Jesse Moynihan’s acclaimed Magnum Opus was never completed...until now! https://ow.ly/mMNT50Yw88z
This in-development game - Rhizomatic Compound - looks lovely! As if Flashback meets Scavengers Reign 🤩 "Investigate a mysterious colony on a distant alien planet in this hand drawn sci-fi tale of exploitation and collapse from the influential Decadence collective."
The first chapter of Rhizomatic Compound is now completed and we are currently looking into collaborating with a publisher and expanding the scope of our game. If you know anyone in the industry who might be interested, please get in contact! Pls wishlist if u havent already!
last week's frog farm show was kinda operating at all cylinders. we not only had some of the best comics being read live, we had great animations, live music and live game demos as well. a lot of firsts for the show. plus debuted a FF new comic! more pics: frogfarm.online/frogfarm11
everyone on my bluesky feed need to be complaining less about the state of things (yes thanks its bad i too am doomer) and more people need to be recommending cool looking projects like this. i can't play this bcuz i dont have a windows, but hey it looks cool.
Ambrosia Sky (halfway between a narrative and meditative game, a washing game, and System Shock 😁) is released in 2 parts. The first is available, and it's neat. $15. When the second part comes out, the game will cost $25. So you're getting a pretty big discount if you buy it now. 😎
