more proof Bernie would have won in ‘16 and we could have avoided 12 years of chaos.
What time will James Carville be announcing his official departure from the Dem Party? I want to be sure to tune in.
I was thinking with Steve Dillon: if this was film, Lincoln Center would do ‘the cinematic art of/set design/storyboarded film of Steve Dillon’ as an important, if flawed or unique within a commercial career, comics practitioner (i.e. Caleb Deschanel). But comics doesn’t treat its history that way…

Missed this last month: "Google.org last week announced a $3 million grant to Brooklyn Public Library, New York Public Library, and Queens Public Library to help the systems expand artificial intelligence (AI) literacy programming for staff and the public." Oh, boy.
berkeley making my brain melt, having to ask for permission to cross the street at every intersection is demonic, affect of every person you encounter is as if its their first day on Earth but also smug??
kind of a half-baked thought here but it's a shame criticism as a paid professional discipline has been sidelined by social media because it could point the way forward out of the internet madness-induced problem of writing that's crouched in what the author anticipates a comments section will say
i guess the art i care about the most now is whatever lifelong projects still seem coherent as everything/everyone becomes incoherent, with the slight fear that that coherence is a sign of regression re: this moment but allowing myself to set that aside…
marvel continuity spiritually ends after tom defalco stops being EIC, or maybe at some arbitrary point near the end of his run. but if you want to believe in those comics as one long story, you can stop doing that after defalco and just read them as isolated stories going forward from that point.
writing a letter to my newspaper that carries nancy to complain that the shirt should actually say ‘pink pantheress’
i still think if you did a comic about superman hanging out with a guy in hospice, unable to 'save him', it'd win 5 million eisners, even if all the pages were blank and the premise was just mentioned in the solicitation.
the only Eisner speech i found funny was when george perez got up to present an award and he was wearing a tux, and he looked around at all the other professionals dressed in t shirts and sweats and said 'i dressed up for this but you guys look like shit'
great thing to say if you work in a comic shop and a customer brings up some back issues to register: ‘oh! ambush bug! great!’
