Everyone talks about em dashes and “it’s not blank, it’s blank” but you know what AI generated buzzword really fucking annoys me now? “Quietly” Fuck off with “quietly”, everything is happening “quietly” now. They’re so conspiratorial they are always suggesting something was previously hidden.
I just applied for an art workshop, I need someone to motivate me through my fatalist episodes, so fingers crossed I get a spot 🤷
The last few years have been an exhausting nightmare.

I’m gonna be honest with you all, if “AI” has done anything, it’s changed my perspective insofar as it makes me respect people less in general. A lot less. It has revealed an uncountable number of losers who will shamelessly lie, cheat and steal, and still never amount to anything.

Consumer LLMs have really illustrated to me that most people have leaned so heavily into learned helplessness that I don’t know how we can even begin to fix our tech oligopoly. People really don’t think there is any meaningful reason to learn new skills or challenge themselves…could never be me.
This question is so hilarious. “Could you anti-AI people survive with the thing you’re not using if it went away tomorrow?” Yeah I think I’d be fine.

I think the saddest thing I see is that to endorse generative AI, many of its defenders also have to adjust their definition of what accuracy and competence are... and then wind up defending inaccuracy and incompetence. Truly irrational.
Generative AI psychosis and delusion is a real thing, as is the degradation of analytical skills. This increasingly makes conversations difficult with those who have "converted" to using it. Along with the clickbait-ification of everything and the adoption of predatory logarithms. Stay vigilant.
Like. We have to start from, we all understand that Nazis are bad. But does the average indoctrinated American citizen understand that the US is too? From my experience - no. I’ve discussed this topic & argued OP’s point for years online & IRL. A common response is incredulousness or rejection.

It drives home the understanding that we live in a connected eco-system and that evil doesn't simply manifest in a vacuum. Nazi Germany studied American fascism, particularly Jim Crow, very closely before committing the Holocaust.
People think being an anarchist is some kind of absurd position, but I have yet to meet a state that won’t break every law on the books to empower itself at the expense of the people. Now states are just inventing techno-capitalist loopholes to subvert our right to privacy.

The US held Haitian asylum seekers in detention camps in Cuba for years as recently as the 90s.
I think this is fundamentally wrong but in an interesting way I will need to write about sometime. The key is a) consumers do not choose what is produced, or how, they choose between what is produced. This is a crucial difference
