minneapolis more merch, more drugs, less cops, more thugs, more scum, more FINE ART

I think the only people who expected “avenge Minnesota” to not hit in outstate Minnesota are employed by the Strib. It’s not unexpected to support someone who promises to make life hell for the people that brutalized your community.

"I think of some of the people down in Mankato who got Maced by ICE agents," Frederick said. "There was literal harm everywhere and not just in the metro, as much as some people like to say otherwise. And people remember that."

Peggy Flanagan did particularly well in the most populous parts of greater Minnesota — around Duluth, Moorhead, St. Cloud, Mankato and Rochester. She also pulled ahead in more rural areas in the southwest corner of the state and throughout the Detroit Lakes region.

you can buy just six cherries from the grocery store. you don’t have to buy the whole bag. if it’s sold by weight you can buy as little as you want. shit you can buy one bay leaf from the coop* *but sometimes it won’t ring up because it’s too light for the scale to register esp if you tare the bag

I feel like people are getting the Angie v. Peggy race wrong. This wasn’t centrism v. progressivism. The vote was a referendum on the ICE Surge. Peggy stood with us. Angie never did.

The American primary system isn't lowercase-d democratic accountability. It's an incumbent protection racket. The vast majority of members of Congress get there via open seats and will stay as long as they want or until they die, never at any serious risk of losing either a primary or a general.

IDK what is wrong with me, but I am clinically stupid about NYC. Until 2020 I didn’t realize cars were allowed in Manhattan? I thought the whole island was like Nicollet Mall. Anyway, I thought pied-à-terre meant apartment with a little courtyard until quite recently. flyover state personified
