Someone said to me, "I'm sorry but I got your book from a library." Nobody should ever apologise for that. You read my book! That's brilliant! I grew up hanging out in libraries and the idea of a world without them fills me with dread. Without libraries, authors, like readers, will only suffer.
At first I thought these were gimmicky chocolate eggs in the shape of spuds, but nope… Canada’s pre-foiling their potatoes for baking. 😳
I made corned beef + creamy nutmeg mash + dill & mustard white sauce + peas & spinach for dinner, and it made me feel extremely warm & fuzzy.

here's a tip: when someone in your building steals your packages, if all they find is big awful books about political philosophy they'll just quietly leave them by your apartment door a few days later anyway

Two very different books, both of which I enjoyed. I know that Yesteryear has its detractors, and I don’t disagree with some of their arguments, but I still found the premise held up, and was compelled to continue (if you DNF, when did you stop?). And the Sedaris was pure observational joy!!

Now I’m finding it hard to wade back into the water to write all those good words again. Pls tell me I’m not the only schlub 😩
