The level I've been considering switching my main PC to Free/OpenBSD to avoid AI usage is... concerning. I learned how to use it and practiced installing it inside a VM, so I'd know what I'm doing, but still. Practically all of my gaming would be relegated to my Steam Deck. Outside of MC, anyways.

Blue Bottle Games, as a policy, does not use generative AI. It's something we've discussed as a team, weighing the pros and cons, and ultimately, we decided it was not for us. Recently, while chatting with a colleague, she mentioned it was useful hearing our reasoning. So: Sharing time! 1/12

Oh hey, yep, basically same conclusions we came to. Like even if you're willing to write off the ethical stuff, there's a bunch of super boring business reasons to not go anywhere near it. Including "it appears to erode your abilities even if you're aware of that risk going in." That's uh. Um. No.

Something I love about this damn cat of mine is that he does not have the slightest bit of violence in him. You can hold him for as long as you want, and instead of biting or scratching you, he'll just rest his teeth on you for a second before stopping and just continuing to sit there.

Just switched my Steam Deck back to official SteamOS and left the Bazzite Discord server. I really liked popping into the support forums and helping people.
