I feel sorry for people who have never had the love of a dog. I have been blessed with several over my long life. They can be annoying, expensive and messy but that's a small price to pay for the experience. Dogs are absolutely magic and they are Family members.
Assholes who make fun of people eulogizing their dogs: There aren't many places for folks to do that, and it's a big moment in some people's lives they weren't exactly ready for. So shut the hell up and let them do it.

Right. The threat of losing control of the fundraising apparatus is what is underlying the DNC fight too. It’s normal for people to want to keep their jobs and fight for them. Political consultants depend on fundraising for their salaries and if that system changes…time for a career change

In the latter case, your favorite Wall Street stooge lives to fight another day. In the former, time for a career change. This is why they freak out when progressives win.
The fact that the Democratic senators are agreeing to a continuing resolution until Dec 11th with NO compromises for them is absolute political malpractice and head scratching. Why not even try to ban like…. The arch? Anything!
