ATLAS Physicist, miniature painter and tired parent...

Just walked past a group of men drinking special brew outside Euston station in Union Jack patterned suits, with a wooden cross with a tiny Jesus on it... I then realised I have an event on Fleet Street tomorrow... Hopefully they've all passed out by the time that finishes...

Can we skip to the bit where we get to vote for "Chaos with Ed!" Go straight for an election and campaign on, "Look, last time I was here, you voted for `strong and stable' government. I think it's past time for a little chaos with Ed! WAAAGH!" *rips of shirt revealing war paint, dons Rambo bandana*

This was a speech with a lot of fire and emotion... Incrementalism needs to end now! Then... Nothing... Meh... No big announcement... Go for implementing PR to solve the ungovernability... Go for rejoining Europe to get back the lost money... Go for wealth taxes... Go for something... Anything...

The index of consumer sentiment isn't broken; models that try to predict it just don't have the right input variables. I fix that and find that, yes, high nominal price levels explain why the vibes are so off. It's the prices, stupid www.gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-04-14...

This's excellent from the PM I am not prepared to commit our military service people to action, unless I am sure that what they are doing is lawful & has a viable basis. They deserve to know that their PM cares &pays attention to whether what I am asking them to do is lawful & I will always do that.

A new Luther was filming outside my office window all afternoon... Idris didn't turn up before I left, but it did get very, "We've got an Idris at home", with the stand in for the lighting and the stunt man eyeing up a jump...

We've got an Idris at home...In fact we've got two Idris' at home...

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again. #Pinks #ProudBlue

A classic start to my working year... Confusing people by walking around in shorts and hoodie in this weather. The tube is still too hot for a coat, what are these people thinking?!?
