BREAKING: Google DeepMind workers in UK have voted 98% in favour of unionising — demanding an end to AI use by Israel and the US military for perpetrating genocide in Gaza. If successful, they’ll be the first frontier AI lab in the world to unionise.

While Alphabet’s leadership was busy reporting on another quarter of strong profits today, the average Googler is working in an atmosphere of fear and anxiety driven by rampant layoffs throughout our industry. We know that Alphabet workers do our best work when we feel secure in our employment.
