UPDATE: VA Central Office is instructing facilities to return to the status quo for all AFGE-represented employees. This includes EVERYONE covered by the Master Agreement before the August 6, 2025 Termination.

The VA was told to restore our union rights. Have they? No. We haven’t gotten offices back. We have been denied official time. We have been kicked out of new employee orientation. We have been denied grievance meetings. Hey Doug- you aren’t above the law!

The VA has been revoking previously approved reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities to work from home. This was a blatant attack on disabled workers under the guise of efficiency. Yet, when ICE showed up in Minneapolis, employees at the Whipple were forced to work from home.

I happen to be at a hearing today with VA Secretary Doug Collins. Collins just pointedly declined to say Alex Pretti had been an employee in good standing. “I’m not here to talk about that,” he said.
