During Joe Biden's administration, the IRS launched a service called Direct File. The goal: Allow millions of American who qualify to save time and money by filing their taxes for free. But then Trump ran for president a second time, and corporate lobbyists got to work.
Republican voters in western NC gave us Madison Cawthorn and then replaced him with Chuck Edwards. Obviously character and decency isn’t something that matters very much to them.
AIPAC fell on its face in Michigan. Despite the fact that AIPAC once again spent a record amount of money in an attempt to buy an election, voters nominated Abdul El-Sayed and rejected AIPAC’s politics of fear and Islamophobia.
Sure, Democrats are not perfect and we have some bad apples. But sexual harassment and abuse of women has become an absolute epidemic among elected Republicans because it is the culture of the party under lifetime serial sexual harasser Donald Trump.

The people struggling to pay for groceries aren't asking for miracles. They're asking for an economy that works for them, not just billionaires.

@abdulelsayed.bsky.social has won his primary election for Senate in Michigan. He went up against record amounts of dark money. He won anyway because he stayed locked in on what Michiganders' actually need: a government that answers to you instead of billionaires.
