Solidarity with the 3,500 LIRR engineers, signalmen, machinists and other railroad workers who walked out on their first strike in 32 years last night. The MTA had every opportunity to bargain in good faith. Now management’s failures are being imposed on riders.

This admin has: 1) taxed food & fertilizer imports 2) deported farmworkers 3) canceled food/climate investments 4) started a war that spiked energy/fertilizer prices 5) increased crop-based biofuel mandates 6) released dietary guidance centering meat

This morning @council.nyc.gov members are meeting to discuss the preliminary budget : Join NYC PLAN in demanding that the NYC City Council fund our essential public libraries, dedicating a minimum of 0.5% of the expense budget to stabilize and secure the services our communities depend on.
