I know “J-Horror” makes for snappier headlines but while all J-Horror = Japanese horror, not all Japanese horror = J-Horror. When describing anything outside of 1988-2008 (w/ limited examples up to 2010) it just sounds impatient & deeply incurious, like calling every horror survivor a final girl.

It is incredible how many published film critics do not know how to use apostrophes correctly

The POSSESSION remake will not work because directors are no longer allowed to push their cast to the brink of mental, physical and spiritual collapse. Not saying that is good or right, I am saying that is why the film will not work.
