I know you're sick of good news from NYC, but hear me out... ICYDK, this is *monumental*. This station has been a left for dead lost cause for *decades*. This is legit screaming, crying, throwing up level reaction-worthy. You couldn't sell democratic socialism better except maybe with free puppies.

As Public Advocate Jumaane Williams said yesterday, “the original J/Z isn’t doing so well.” That’s why we’re working with Governor Kathy Hochul — using congestion pricing funds to renovate Chambers Street and partnering with the MTA to tackle extreme heat in our subway stations.

A Mamdani skill that doesn’t get enough attention is he is very good at striking the right balance of fun and gravitas on many subjects. People care a lot about fun stuff that “serious” politicians dismiss or don’t even notice.

The convenient finger pointing over whether liberals or leftists are responsible for Platner would be funny if not so pathetic. The fact is support for him was dotted across the Dem spectrum. The common denominators were misogyny and a willingness to at least play footsie with white supremacy.

Happy Fathers Day, whatever that means to you. And my equal parts sympathy and congratulations to those of you who do not have a father who once said “If anything happens to my daughter in this car, I will find you” to the clueless guy who just agreed to replace a worn tire on the car you bought.

This x100. If I never hear "kitchen table issues" again it will be too soon. It's a trap set for Dems by shitty media that has made clear the only voters they feel are worth talking to those who still love Trump despite the cost of everything. Dem leadership needs to stop falling for it.

Here's the thing: the GOP made a bigger deal of "social issues" than the Democrats. The GOP was the one demonizing trans people and talking about the end of DEI. The Democrats were the ones...not responding.
