Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.

Goodness, this article... I really do get the sentiment - not every game needs to be to everyone's tastes! Designers should try stuff! But the way it conflates that with a game leaving people out by being inaccessible (seemingly by design) is pretty clumsy and left a bad taste in my mouth.

Not Everyone Will Be Able To Play Big Walk And That's Okay

Iโ€™m really happy to see more โ€œbook+piecesโ€ physical puzzle games in the wild! This one I tested and itโ€™s great fun :)

Next up we'll have the (I think) World Premiere of Puzzle Tracks by @portponky.bsky.social! A physical game about laying down railway tracks across 100ish puzzles! Use different transparent tiles to finish incomplete tracks. Choo choo! Come try it for free soon: buytickets.at/mdesingames/...

A photo of a ring bound A4 book and a black velvet bag, both on a purple sheet. The book has a blue cover with the titles Puzzle Tracks by Portponky on it. The bag has some transparent perspex tiles spilling out of it. They are laser cut and engraved to show different arrangement of railway tracks on them.

It's incredibly transparent how eager the UK political class are to destroy learning. It gets dressed up in different ways by many in the media, but it always comes back to the fact that a smart population can see through a politicianโ€™s paper thin bullshit and they'd rather just enrich themselves.

The point isn't to produce essays, it's to teach students how to think for fuck's sake. The minute you automate that, it's over. You might as well close the course. Which they're also doing. This is an attack on learning, and everyone is just shrugging.

We had the best time @glasgowindiegamesfest.org! Announcing Glenmara: Still Life Artist there was really special. It was great to watch so many people playing our game and all the other games too ๐ŸŽฎThanks so much to the GIGF team for all their hard work and making it a super fun and chill weekend ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโœจ
