dude POTs is no joke and very weird. i had never even HEARD of POTs til i was diagnosed. the symptom list is XXXL and now i play this new game called "is this bizarre sensation anxiety or is it POTs or maybe both or am i dying". its a humbling reminder to me that we are all "temporarily abled".

For years we've been told families 'need' cars. A UK e-cargo bike trial found over half of participant e-bike trips replaced car trips, mostly school runs, shopping & commuting. 1 in 5 went on to buy an e-cargo bike. Give people practical alternatives & a surprising number reduce their car use 🧵 1/

when people complain about ebikes going "fast" the first thing i point to is that (legal) ebikes have governors that limit the top speed assist. i like this. i wish all cars had them. also interlocks. also made you sign a doc that said 'im operating a machine that can kill' every time you drove.

A Nissan Sentra weighs a little more than 3,000 pounds (I picked a small, common car) An Aventon Level 3 E-bike weighs 67 pounds (plus rider weight) These things do not pose remotely the same risk when traveling at 28 mph. I am begging people to understand basic physics.
