This truck was just parked on the Hennepin bikeway ramp to Bryant. Minneapolis is too hesitant to put solid barriers (like concrete bollards) to cars where it is obvious we need them, and it’s leading to an infestation of drivers violating spaces where they inconvenience and harm everyone else.

I love showing people my former neighborhood in HOU to show just how much better MPLS’ urban fabric is for walkablity. This time someone else posted it to r/suburbanhell. I lived on the other side of that Walmart in 2022. Let’s keep building a better city, y’all. We have plenty of counterexamples.

This doesn’t just affect cars. B and E Lines are detoured Fri/Sat starting at 9:45 pm until EOS @metrotransitmn.bsky.social This is a detriment to the area’s residents trying to get home after nights out. Wouldn’t this be exactly when you’d hope people would be taking transit instead of driving?

Andrea Corbin wants cars on Lyndale but then wants cars off Hennepin and Lake. 😂

My response to people who say families with a full schedule of activities for their school age children can't get by without a car.

Dex, like many others, taught me that our wing is full of folks happy to see new faces and willing to teach me how to navigate its labyrinth of committees. I hope he called to listen to them and their fight for a more open party that fights for trans rights. I'm so proud to call them a friend.

This has been a problem since the street reopened, as basically nothing about the design indicates it is a parking lane. There used to be a solid white line but that wore off quick and hasn't been replaced please for the love of god paint the parking/bus lanes red like before!
