For the record I’d happily accept the lenient status quo on sentencing for driving offences as long as any driving offence for which a person receives a prison sentence suspended or otherwise carries a mandatory automatic lifetime driving ban

Many people, who I think regard themselves as progressive, suggested this was inadequate & lengthy immediate custody was needed.

While online shopping does have a lot of defective products, the proof that everyone wants this is given as air travel. Ryanair and Vueling have better punctuality than BA or Cathay, neither has ever had a fatal accident and they are VERY honest about what the cabin is like. They’re not defective!
