Still plunging through all the highs and lows of DCC and just got to a battle against a nun. Glanced up on the bike path where I'm walking, at a dark-robed figure far in the distance. Me: ... Surely not. The Nun, passing me several seconds later: Me: Nun: Me: *Midwestern nod*

It's not looking good for me, folks. A tall glass jar of tahini leapt out of the fridge and knocked right into my ankle bone. "Taken out at the ankles by tahini" is too objectively funny a story for permanent injury. I fear the universe would not pass up this chance...

"Finally!" My brother is shorter than me now, which he quickly remedies by hovering exactly three inches higher. "When we said 'live on', you sure took your time about it." "Sorry it wasn't very exciting," I say, hugging each of them. Our leader hangs on the longest, grinning. "It was Wonderful."

It's been 20 years since you saw your group last. A whirlwind of adventure, danger, romance, bloodshed; a world-saving battle and then—you went your separate ways. You fiddle nervously with the broach on your cloak. Deep breath. Open the door. Who greets you first? #TinyTalesTuesday #WritingPrompt

You, looking at all my hyperfixations lying fallow for months at a time before I pick them up again and have to relearn everything: ... Me, having just finished reading THERE IS NO ANTIMEMETICS DIVISION: ... This is my asynchronous research. 😤

It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.

The notes always arrive in bubbles of ice, easy to find within the coldest current. "Oh, good, another one," my sister rolls her eyes. I angle my lighter so the contents won't catch when melted free. "Still here," the note says. My sister-the new one-glowers. I tousle her hair, looking upriver.

Filtration systems are good, but no mortal filter can handle debris that washes down the river from Faerie. The fae detritus follows the current to gather in a lake, where you dredge it by hand before anything slips downstream. What do you pull from the water today? #TinyTalesTuesday #WritingPrompt
