🧵 I trained as a scientific conservationist protecting flora, fauna & the ancient landscape. It was a sad experience to see so much loss. So I turned to art instead. The images in my mind are now my own nature reserve & you can enjoy them too in my drawings in your home!

Flashes App 🌩️@flashes.blue · 2y ago

Hey y’all, I’d rather focus on sharing new features (like more pics per post) than posting about the GoFundMe every day—but this campaign is what will make Flashes for Android happen. With 80K followers here, if even half gave $1, we’d hit the goal today. 💙 https://gofund.me/0280d9d7

Honestly, if the EU/UK is not negotiating a tight and expansive trade deal with Canada right now, they are missing the biggest opportunity of a generation. Win/win for those involved & an earned bloody nose for this US administration.

1/8 I’m crying. Trump's ignorance of basic economic policies will decimate entire industries. His plan to raise steel & aluminum tariffs to 50% won’t just hurt businesses, it will devastate communities. Towns that never recovered from the demise of steel will be hit hardest. I see the pain daily.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump Based on Ontario, Canada, placing a 25% Tariff on "Electricity" coming into the United States, I have instructed my Secretary of Commerce to add an ADDITIONAL 25% Tariff, to 50%, on all STEEL and ALUMINUM COMING INTO THE UNITED STATES FROM CANADA, ONE OF THE HIGHEST TARIFFING NATIONS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. This will go into effect TOMORROW MORNING, March 12th. Also, Canada must immediately drop their Anti-American Farmer Tariff of 250% to 390% on various U.S. dairy products, which has long been considered outrageous. I will shortly be declaring a National Emergency on Electricity within the threatened area. This will allow the U.S to quickly do what has to be done to alleviate this abusive threat from Canada. If other egregious, long time Tariffs are not likewise dropped by Canada, I will substantially increase, on April 2nd, the Tariffs on Cars coming into the U.S. which will, essentially, permanently shut down the automobile manufacturing business in Canada. Those cars can easily be made in the USA! Also, Canada pays very little for National Security, relying on the United States for military protection. We are subsidizing Canada to the tune of more than 200 Billion Dollars a year. WHY??? This cannot continue. The only thing that makes sense is for Canada to become our cherished Fifty First State. This would make all Tariffs, and everything else, totally disappear. Canadians' taxes will be very substantially reduced, they will be more secure, militarily and otherwise, than ever before, there would no longer be a Northern Border problem, and the greatest and most powerful nation in the World will be bigger, better and stronger than ever — And Canada will be a big part of that. The artificial line of separation drawn many years ago will finally disappear, and we will have the safest and most beautiful Nation anywhere in the World - And your brilliant anthem, "O Canada," will continue to play, but now representing a

A second German tourist is being held in a detention centre after having her Visa revoked by the U.S. It’s the same detention centre holding Jessica Brösche, the German tattoo artist who spent 8 days in solitary. She’s been held for 6 weeks. The U.S. is not a safe place to travel anymore

«Es ist schrecklich»: Deutscher Tourist wollte mit einem Esta über Mexiko in die USA einreisen – jetzt sitzt er in Abschiebehaft

Der Deutsche Lucas Sielaff befindet sich in US-Abschiebehaft. Er wollte mit einem Esta einreisen. Es ist der zweite Fall dieser Art innerhalb kurzer Zeit. Seine Verlobte äussert sich besorgt.

I'm a proud mother. Whether I'm walking my son to school or reading him a bedtime story, I do everything to make sure he grows up loved and cared for. And for the sponsor of the drag ban to say that my existence is a fetish is false & cruel. I'm glad we were able to defeat this hateful bill today.

1. Today, powerful speeches from trans representatives in Montana SJ Howell and Zooey Zephyr flipped 29 Republicans, killing anti-trans bills. While some Dems like Newsom abandon trans people, these reps show the power of representation. Watch their speech. Subscribe to support our journalism.

This is how it’s done folks. If your rep won’t hold a town hall because they know what they’re doing is unpopular, hold one for them and let everyone in your community know what they’re up to.

Congressman Jack Bergman’s constituents held a town hall tonight—because their cowardly congressman refused. He’s happy to cash a taxpayer-funded paycheck but too scared to face the people he’s supposed to represent. Pathetic.
