Social media bans cannot be effectively enforced, and come with profound implications for everyone's human rights. Nevertheless the EU and Irish government seem hell bent on pushing through similar legislation here, without presenting a shred of evidence that such a ban will have a positive impact.

I think people have seriously and genuinely forgotten, or maybe they never really appreciated, just how much of an advancement formal anti-racism as a legal construction made from 1789 to the late 20th century. The fact that having a racial constitution makes you an anomaly today is excellent.

No sorry but this word does actually have a meaning even if annoying people online overuse it. Most states in the EU are definitively, affirmatively, clearly legally defined as states of all their citizens.
