can be sexualized (as they are in real life. a man negging a woman is “banter”). so unless writers or creators explicitly say that a character is a lesbian, you can’t actually call her that without people breathing down your neck that actually you’re erasing bisexuals. it’s exhausting

and like, it’s easy right? it’s difficult to prove a negative. heterosexuality is the default. so if a character ends up with or has a tragic relationship with a woman in a piece of media (but nothing with men) it’s much, much, much safer to call her bisexual. even negative interactions with men…
