I did 3/4 of my wordcount but I have to retire for dinner bc the noises emergin' from my entrails are starting to scare me. then it'll be time for my weekly D20 or CR watch social appointment, so possibly the remaining 1/4 of words will have to shift and be added to my weekend workload. FOOD!!

TIL the word 'cavil' (both verb & noun) and the phrase 'beyond cavil', which as a pedant I feel I should've known long ago and which will no doubt prove delightedly useful in the future. Learning is so fun!

well, I did nap for 2 hours and as a result I only just finished my word count (there was dinner there in the middle too) - but I went from 4 days = 8% to 5 days = 12% so I'm quite chuffed! now for a warm beverage and something sweet before bed. the cat demands I move to start the bedtime routine!

@maladroithe.bsky.social asked me out to a new coffee place once so I did the usual “scour yelp to see the chairs” and told her it looked good, and was STUNNED when she was like “girl of course I checked the seating first before inviting you somewhere, why wouldn’t I?” well, no one else does!!

If you aren't fat (or disabled!), you need to learn to evaluate public spaces for accessability before putting your fat friends into painful situations. I have had to choose between physical pain and ruining the group dinner in restaurants more than once.

In addition to the broader literacy crisis, we're also in a power literacy crisis. Many folks deeply misunderstand how political power works, who has it, and how to build it. And all of that is happening while more folks are using the language of organizing without grasping its most basic tenets.

Holy shit ASOS released an adaptive clothing line specifically for people with disabilities?!?!!! Magnets instead of buttons, special pockets and holes to hold wearable medical devices that have tubes, and zippers to make them more comfortable for wheelchair users. www.asos.com/women/fashio...

Cover of Maybe Tomorrow #1, by Max Wood, Daniel Caval, Andworld Design, and Kat Overland. There are two cubes on the cover, each stretching past the margins. There's a bald man in glasses in one, and a woman with glasses in the other, both wearing professional jumpsuits.

funny having a USian in a fic be surprised/outraged upon discovering milk comes in bag in Ottawa/Canada, then having Luca Haas also shocked… when actually um sry but… milk also comes in bags in Switzerland.

it works out to $3.33 a month and they have some decent stuff out there. word to the wise though set the Google calendar alert for a couple days before today, a year from now so you remember to cancel before it renews for the regular annual rate.
