When will Labour talk about mental health risks caused by airborne covid infections?
@andyburnham.bsky.social Research continues to grow on Covid causing cognitive damage. Only the @greenparty.org.uk have been trying to do anything. Is anyone in government actually looking at the research?
It defies belief that research mounts and this isn’t the number one priority in the UK 🤷♀️ Thanks to the @greenparty.org.uk for asking about protecting children from cognitive damage from Covid.
Nonsense, we know Clean air greatly reduces chance of infection. Ffp2 respirators do protect, it’s not difficult and the government should be rolling those vaccines. The alternative of ongoing inaction is soooooooo much worse.
Excellent evidence of the need for immediate action on covid preventions! @yvettecooper-mp.bsky.social Labour must act and roll vaccines, ffp3 in healthcare and follow covid inquiry recommendations!
pubs.rsna.org/doi/10.1148/... Only patients with mild infections included!
This is the primary reason I wear a respirator because Covid is not mild at all!
Cognitive dysfunction and fatigue remain prevalent at least 3 years post-infection, particularly affecting attention, processing speed, and working memory. Pts included both hospitalized and non-hospitalized.
Burning fossil fuels makes wildfires more frequent and more intense. Of course those who have made record profits causing the problem should pick up the bill.
Covid with vagal dysfunction and volume reflux are not your friend. Micro-aspiration and primed Mast Cells... And away you go... Hmmmm... I saw 2 in consultation today Immune dysregulation sux www.researchsquare.com/article/rs-1...

@rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social @nataliegreenpeer.bsky.social Asked this very important question in the HoL on ‘cognitive impairment’ from #COVID infections, why hasn’t Labour mentioned this?
Just received a postcard from a lovely friend, and I have to say that pleasure and dopamine hit of getting one still surpasses anything that the internet or social media can provide. Send more postcards, hoomans!

Covid infection levels in England have jumped this week, although remaining at historically low levels. With 1 in every 1549 people in England now infected as of 2 August, we have increased the BuDS Covid infection risk level from Low to Moderately Low. A thread 🧵 buds.org.uk/covid-19-ris...
Been saying for years: covid was the warm-up (‘scuse pun) for this, and most people capitulated to that. “Getting covid is inevitable”, we were told. Biden - and thus all other governments - told us it was over to “save the economy”. Profit won there and it’s winning the climate war too.
My column on how capital becomes a death cult. Faced with a choice between profit and human life, the radical right chooses profit. Then it tries to persuade us that mass death is what we want. It's the new phase of climate denial: accept your fate, earthlings. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
It's interesting all the health workers speaking out in videos etc about the realities of the pandemic early times. I'm a health vulnerable person with a health vulnerable son. My uncle died of hospital acquired covid just last year I want to yell WHY DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT US? Wear a mask! 😷
@unisoninschools.bsky.social Children are still breathing in covid soup in most schools. The long term health risks aren’t mild!
I did not see that one coming. Fascinating.
A study shows male mice recovering from severe COVID-19 can pass anxiety-like traits to their offspring. The virus alters RNA molecules inside their sperm, suggesting a father's infection before conception could change how the next generation develops mentally. Source: archive.md/U7dad

I’ve had another hit to my baseline. So sorry to everyone I owe messages to. There’s not sufficient help and resources to manage what’s happening to me so I keep getting worse. This is the reality for many disabled people. The supports aren’t there. If you don’t have someone, you’re screwed
Immune damage potentially across a population is not a mild problem.
