Today is my youngest’s 30th birthday. My sweet, kind, ethical, creative, smart, unique, cuddly one who has experienced more suffering and challenges than most do in a lifetime. My life is dedicated to supporting him to enjoy all he can and eventually reach his dream of travelling in Japan.
Tonight we're babysitting a toddler who won't sleep without mum or dad...should be fun times!
In my small five year study of a household of three, N95 masks have worked 100 percent
N95 in all care now!
So we're on the ship to the mainland and son and husband went up deck (wearing N95s masks) to get icecreams. A group of men aged 40s-60s had a laugh and all coughed as they walked by. Mature huh
Back on the ship from Tasmania to the mainland. Waiting for the cabin aircon to start up. Got two personal air purifiers and my choice for today's mask is "big duck", easy to breath in. Big duck will be removed in half an hour or so
I feel at my most Australia when I say "Bob's your uncle". Because he is my uncle
I feel at my most Australian when I walk around saying no worries to everyone
This looks interesting. COVID has revolutionised our appreciation of viruses as molecular effectors of disease, and we will never look at cardiovascular inflammation in the same light again. na.eventscloud.com/website/97098/

A few people have asked me to write a simple explainer about chronic inflammatory conditions like autoimmunity or allergy so here is an immunology 101 about what we understand about why they occur. Will dig into more research studies in a future post. Hope u enjoy

A Sydney news story I just saw makes me suspect there's lots more covid around Australia than even any of the limited data implies. I mean also Places like Taiwan and Hong Kong have very high levels. Sydney hospitals are overwhelmed with "winter viruses"
It's interesting all the health workers speaking out in videos etc about the realities of the pandemic early times. I'm a health vulnerable person with a health vulnerable son. My uncle died of hospital acquired covid just last year I want to yell WHY DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT US? Wear a mask! 😷
Introducing the NextGen Covid Vax Tracker! vaxtracker.wordpress.com/2026/07/29/i... A monthly update on vaccine progress, featured vaccines, analyses, plus lots of background info. #Vaccines #Covid #Covid19
Bit of a shock. Very healthy active neighbour is in hospital with a pulmonary embolism. I know she collapsed recently but continued on at home. May be related. Both times she had covid she also collapsed/fainted as the first sign. Now I'm wondering if she's had an infection bring it on.
What I hate about COVID downplayers is… you won okay. In the aftermath of humanity coming together to develop the most crucial vaccines of our lifetime & collectively sacrificing to save lives, we are now less safe, less vaccinated & less empathetic than ever. You won ok. Lay down your swords.
I'm doing a good deed. Sending a covid aware lady in the UK a sip valve and straw. (Some of you will know what this is). Tiny package. $26+ postage. Australia Post is out of control!!
So much toxic is coming out of America and percolating across the world through the internet. Total global failure imho. Bitterness, violence, falsity, farce. I'm sick of our lives being drenched in that toxicity. I'm going to make an even bigger effort to avoid exposure to it
Sooo many people blame the vaccine not the infection they've had over and over and over and over and over .... ....
It's pretty but still a mask and still got the hard stares
All the people saying there was no pandemic, what was this? www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...

Today one of my bank accounts was fraudulently used for the third time in a year. Third time I've had to request a fraud investigation & cancel my card. This time someone overseas bought an expensive pair of men's black sports shoes. After the claim is complete (up to 30 days) I'm shutting it down
I know it's useless but today I really lost it responding to an antivaxer who commented on someone's post about influenza.
Just visited dear neighbour in hospital. Absolutely devastating. His cognition has gone & can hardly walk & with a frame. 6 weeks ago he was chatting and chopping wood. They can't find a cause. Parkinson's type symptoms. He's elderly but always been so young. Three years ago rode his m/c round Tas 💔
