Facing federal science budget cuts, biologist Daniel Blumstein resorted to uploading marmot videos to OnlyFans to raise funds for his marmot research. However, when he uploaded his driver’s license for verification, OnlyFans informed him that his appearance didn’t match the marmots in the videos.

Jourahmad et al. investigate how single-unit activity (SUA) relates to nearby local field potentials (LFP) in humans. The figure shows real data from a neuron exhibiting increased firing during low-frequency oscillations, illustrating frequency-specific tuning independent of phase.

This does require going against the mainstream, but that gets easier when a) you find you're not alone and b) you see how much of mainstream opinion on this is actually the result of marketing. /fin for now
