Is it the cutest arrowhead I’ve ever found? Yes! Is it light, lethal and still sharp af? Also yes! Such skilled technique and artistry to make this charming killer from a single flake of volcanic stone 😍 Recovered in Tl'kemtsin / Lytton, Nlaka'pamux territory.

I'm always baffled by the "I don't mask, but you're smart for doing that" type of remark. It's reflective of the massive cognitive dissonance ppl have abt covid. They have some understanding that it can cause serious probs, but competing motivations drive behaviors that are at odds w/that knowledge.

i know wearing a mask may not feel like much—like throwing plastic into recycling that's just trash—but, when worn correctly, it just isn't. break the taboo, break the feedback loop, break the chains of transmission, all with one customizable tool! the respirator.
the way masks are forgotten, eschewed, if not outright derided is imo bc of this same silence, denial. it shouldnt be taboo to acknowledge the harm SARS2 caused, but doing so means acknowledging the ways it continues today, which would mean acknowledging YOU are implicated in changing how things are
this is happening right now, whether you educate yourself on it or not. but know that if you're acting as if there is no threat, it's easy to convince yourself these are harms for someone else to worry about, because why would someone who's been harmed trust someone who's not acting to protect them?
if you think you’d don’t know anyone with longcovid, but you don’t use any mitigation yourself, consider: yes you do, they just may not feel safe enough to tell you.
Love how @itsbabs.bsky.social educates & tells it like it is without shaming or using the frustrated tone I sometimes have bc IT’S FRUSTRATING to see 99.7% of you disregard your health while harming others by not masking in public spaces like work, transit & HOSPITALS. Fine ignore me, but hear this👇

Also you'll never get better at art if you just give up and let a computer do it for you. Don't forget the immortal words of Jake the Dog:
The “best” thing about genAI (the quotes are doing heavy work here) is that it’s really lowered the bar on getting into hand-made art. Literally anything you make is better than ai. There’s never been a better time to throw away your fear and start learning that craft you’ve always wanted to learn.

They think they're being clever eugenicists by saying that people with "underlying health issues" don't matter, but >75% of U.S. adults have a chronic condition (including 60% of age 18–34). So what they're really saying is "nobody matters, it's okay if everybody dies from inadequate regulation."
Breaking News: Two deaths in Michigan have been linked to cyclospora. Both people who had the parasite also had underlying health issues.
Food should be safe enough that children, elderly, sick, and people with chronic conditions can eat.
When people die and the media says they had “pre-existing conditions”… they’re pacifying the public. Anyone could die from Cyclosporiasis, but they want you to believe it can’t happen to you. It can only happen to the weak, the disabled, the elderly. The expendable people. Eugenics.
So why is it that with Long Covid 7 years on we still have this dismissal agenda despite a massive amount of scientific evidence? We really ought to study this sociological phenomenon more closely. That’s what we need more evidence on, not the existence of LC.

Two Deaths Linked to Cyclospora Outbreak in Michigan
The patients had “significant underlying health conditions” that may have contributed to their deaths, health officials said.

Two people have died as a result of the cyclospora outbreak, and right on cue, both the govt/media are trotting out the "but they were old and/or had pre-existing conditions," line. In other words- these people don't matter, this couldn't possibly impact YOU, & don't alter your behavior in any way.
It’s astounding that the med pros in charge of making you better are allowed to maim or kill you by not masking to protect from airborne viruses. Can a car company kill people and still be allowed to sell… uhh Can a produce company kill people with a parasite in lettuce and still be allowed to… 🤦🏻♀️
Same thing most of you believe about Covid as each infection is quietly doing damage until you’re one day diagnosed with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, early dementia, cancer, etc, whether you were vaccinated or not. Covid killed some right away, but it’s coming for all of us. Clean the air 🦠 & 😷
