My feeling on this article is that if you refer to covid in the past tense you have no business writing about it, and it’s insulting to the people who live with long covid every day or just lost a loved one to it this week. Red in the color map indicates higher rates of activity. As I've said many times, COVID is contagious brain damage. Not always, but the fact that it happens sometimes (10-30% of even "mild" cases) flummoxes me as to how cavalier some people are about contracting it.
