Went to a good friend’s 70th birthday celebration last night. Where did the time go! So good to see that there were many of us of a similar age that are still fit enough to throw a few shapes on the dance floor.😁 I’m sure we are generally healthier than our parents generation (thank goodness).

I’m sitting next to a warm barbecue in a somewhat cloudy/sunny but very breezy garden listening to the birds and the sizzle of a sausage or three, and all is right with the world for a few minutes.

I don’t post much about wine here but, tonight we had this bottle of NZ Pinot Noir (with BBQ seared tuna steak) and it was just about perfect. Fruity, smooth, with just enough tannins to keep you on your toes. Cheers. 🍷

Walking down the farm track this morning there was a sound like a cat being strangled (it wasn’t!). Got to the bottom of the track to see a massive bird of prey sitting on the fence squawking away. (Took me a few seconds to get phone out, hence the poor photo)
