Oops. I just confirmed that I discussed returning to politics before I received the £5m from my crypto chum, putting a hole in my argument that I didn't need to declare it because I had no involvement in politics at that time.
From today, EU citizens have a legal right to know when they're talking to a bot or looking at a deepfake, backed by fines of up to €15m. Thanks to Brexit, we're missing out on this protection.

Just a reminder that these rights were reciprocal. Brits could remain in the EU and EU people in the UK. If the UK reneges on this then the EU has every right to ask Brits to leave. They probably won't, because they're not evil bastards, but they could.
