We’ve spoken about capitalism versus socialism. Do you want to talk about capitalism? Let’s talk about capitalism. Are you recording? Capitalism is about leveraging the laws of supply and demand to efficiently allocate capital expenditure to maximize value. When capitalism works, it’s because you have free entry and exit into markets. So if you believe in capitalism, you have to believe in government regulation to protect markets. In fact, right now, we have exactly the opposite. You don’t have to be a socialist to believe that you should be taxing billionaires their wealth. In fact, if you are a capitalist, you should believe in that. So, I’m capitalist who just knows about capitalism. I have a bad habit of reading, I’m so sorry.

I had to code and pronounce a time of death on a respiratory therapist colleague. There's a memorial plaque for her outside the emergency department to this day. I wrote and re-wrote my will. I will never forgive these ghouls trying to rewrite history and deny our experience.

Twitter post: Grand Rapids Businessman @GR_businessman NEWS: Local business owner claims Haley Stevens and the Kent Dems were misleading about an event hosted at their facility, which is nextdoor to the Kent Dems. Pux Taphouse says they believed this was a “Women’s Dem” event, but realized later it was for Haley Stevens U.S. Senate campaign. Pux Taphouse used the event to clarify online that it does NOT endorse Stevens because she is Anti-LGBTQAIP2s+ and supports Israel. Attached screenshot: When Pux was approached to book this event, we were only it would be a private women's Dem event. Pux was never advised that Haley Stevens would be connected with this event. We are heartbroken as we pride ourselves on being not only a queer friendly space but also have advocated and continue to call for a free Palestine. We DO NOT endorse Haley Stevens. Our promise to our community is that in the future we will be more vigilant in requesting specific details for private events in the future. We apologize most sincerely and will be donating the proceeds tonight to the Grand Rapids Pride Center.

Here are some of the policies: * Consolidate power from the 3 branches of government under the Executive, to make the rest of the policies possible. * End all non-white refugee and asylum programs * Stop legal immigration from Muslim countries, especially Iran * Stop legal immigration from Latinx countries, especially Mexico * Stop legal immigration from Asian countries, especially China and India * Make H1B visas harder to acquire from non-white countries

Wow emailed the mayor about my concerns regarding his treatment of trans New Yorkers and they replied?? With specific details about what they’re doing to protect trans New Yorkers?? Mamdani is FAR from perfect but I’ve never had a government agency reply to an email I’ve sent before.

Dear Ms. Biba: Thank you for your email. I appreciate your taking the time to write and share your concerns about the rights and safety of transgender New Yorkers. Our Administration is committed to ensuring that every transgender and gender nonconforming New Yorker can live with dignity and access to the resources they need. Over the past several months, we have taken significant action to protect and expand the rights of trans New Yorkers. Earlier this year, we established the Mayor's Office of LGBTQIA+ Affairs, the first citywide office solely dedicated to the health, safety, and dignity of queer New Yorkers. We also launched "Trans Rights are Human Rights," a citywide public awareness campaign appearing across print advertisements, public transit, and LinkNYC kiosks, reminding New Yorkers that discrimination based on gender identity is illegal in housing, employment, and public spaces.On health care, we have made a $15 million investment to expand access to gender-affirming care: establishing a direct care access fund for providers serving transgender youth, launching a call and text line connecting New Yorkers to care and resources, and funding research to identify gaps in health care access for transgender and gender nonconforming New Yorkers. The City is also prepared to defend that care legally. Our Law Department has submitted an amicus brief opposing subpoenas that sought the medical records of transgender patients, and we stand ready to litigate any threat to gender-affirming care for youth and adults.
