Watching all these centrist pundits stress the “civility” of Charlie Kirk’s style without addressing the ugliness of his substance is giving me a renewed appreciation of how the civil, polite White Citizens’ Councils conned the same crowd into thinking they were distinct from the cruder Klan.

self checkout is the slow knife. employees replaced with the mechanical turk free labor of a million customers' hands, hands stayed from mischief not by fair wages but by biometric panopticon, a camera at every station, your face in every database. we should be burning these machines in the streets

Anyone who thinks this attack on higher ed is going to stop with the humanities or courses on race and gender has another thing coming - Florida is already targeting classes on “Labor and Globalization” and “Introduction to East Asia” for removal from the curriculum

“When the state begins to regulate what we can teach at the level of the university,” said Katie Rainwater, whose class, Sociology of Gender, is marked for removal from the core curriculum, “then we have to question whether the university can serve its social function, which is to be a place of free inquiry.”

Being Autistic doesn't lead to being Trans & Polyamory. However there is a HUGE Overlap. If you Hate Trans & Polyam People you DEFINITELY Hate Autistic People. There is always Overlap. You need to Stand With EVERYONE cuz otherwise you're Standing against Someone. Someone that may be important.
