A photograph of a photograph. This is a print photo of a swan and coot in water. Because my past self was a dope, the paper is glossy and reflecting my bedroom. Erg. Ignore that and focus on the lovely white swan. She is standing in the water, her feet visible under her (wow, nice clear water!). She’s got some specks of brown on her wings. Her head is lowered, her neck making a C shape. Behind her, a coot, all black except for his face, swims quickly past. The water is a dark green and slightly rippled. My feeling is this is a river, and I know it’s somewhere near Salisbury, but that’s all I know! A photograph, digital, of a very plump robin perched on a twig. He is in profile, face turned coyly to the camera, looking utterly cute. His belly is a very soft grey, contrasting against the burst of bright orange on his chest and face. His head and wings are grey-brown. The twig he’s sitting on is bare, and behind him, blurred are more twigs.

A Male Reed Warbler on a thin plant stalk. The bird is left of centre of the shot perched near the top of tall, dried out plant stalk that is bent over at a 45 degree angle with the weight of the bird. It is turned slightly to look right so that its front, belly and right side can be seen. Another plant stalk is vertical beside the bird. The background is an out focus blue sky with two thin, vertical tree branches sparsely covered in green leaves.
