still think about how I went to the warhammer store to buy the paints and the salesman asked me what I needed them for. I said "dollhouse miniatures" and he said "well if you ever want to paint sth useful you could paint minis" my guy I don't see how your warhammer game is more useful than my dolls
boy hobbies 🤝 girl hobbies isn't it great we can all learn from each other when we don't care about what is "supposed" to be for what or whom 🥰 hey I've seen warhammer painting tutorials that use makeup brushes for drybrushing!

Testing out a new travel set of kuretake gansai tambi watercolors for plein air painting (to baby-step my way toward trying gouache), and I really like them so far! They’re like thicker more opaque watercolors that are easier to spread around with water 🎨
art looks a lot like sucking until it doesn't. you need to fail a lot, and learn from your failures, in order to succeed. there are no lies detected here. just Make The Thing Already.

You can’t make without learning to make. The idea that art is “good” or “bad” is itself a manifestation of ego, stop letting it prevent you from making at all
