I am heartbroken that Muhlenberg announced this week "the non-renewal of 13 faculty positions, as well as the elimination of 9 currently filled staff positions.” We are losing incredible faculty and staff with no clear justification for the criteria used. Students are rightly demanding transparency.

The National Science Foundation has canceled all grant review panels this week. It's unclear how long the pause could last.

This is a real problem! If you are in the US, you need to call you senator and representative (not email) and explain to them how fucked this is.
All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.
