For the sake of my mental wellbeing, I am going to step away from social media and away from the publishing world in general. I don’t know how long I’ll need to do this, possibly permanently.
I will always be an author. Nobody gets to decide that but me. No one’s measure of success or failure determines that. You may not see much of me. But I’m there.
I’m so grateful to my writing discords for giving me a community I can keep in touch with
Tried Threads. JFC I can’t do it. I have enough mental illness. What a terrible place
What they don’t tell you about being a complete failure is how boring it is
What I think 10 year old games look like vs. what they actually look like
I might be in my chaos era (writing two books simultaneously)
I’m working on my current novella, but I’ve also started developing my next novel too. It’s like a Soulsborne game where you’re halfway through the boss fight and then another boss health bar shows up.
I want more janitors in fantasy! Or whatever the fantasy world’s equivalent is
You know, fantasy novels glorify the shiny jobs: the captains of the guard, the renowned blacksmiths, the solemn clergy. But what job do you think deserves its own take from the perspective of a main character?
Apropos of nothing. This your reminder to be someone worth grieving when you’re gone
Fellow authors, without any context, what’s the first line of your WIP? “The hardest thing about life is that nobody cares.”
fellow authors, without any context, what's the first line of your WIP? "All bars made to be slipped through, given someone (or something) clever enough."
This is awful. Yet another example of how the carceral system is cruel and purely punitive
People are losing purchased music and games, as well as emails and photographs from loved ones, without compensation.
I have lived and am living in some pretty conservative states but I still identify with my local communities more than the entity known as the United States. That’s been true for me for probably ten years now
I'd be interested in some thoughts from Americans on here on an idea: Over the last 5 years, have you found yourself identifying more with your home state than the US as a whole over time?
Cast yourself as a villain I want Complete Global Saturation (of Resident Evil shit)
Cast yourself as a villain
I feel like “Socialism or Barbarism” was the big question of the 20th Century And we are where we are now because Barbarism won.
One day the trend in books will be “Weird and Sad People doing Fucked Up Things”. And then I’LL have the last laugh.
Abolish SCOTUS. Abolish this whole evil country. Pride Forever.
Most mind blowing video game moments? I’ll start: Bloodborne. When I went to fight the Living Failures boss and it was just a giant picture of me.
Trump wants to make an example out of the Prairieland defendants, so we need to make an example out of them in the opposite way. We need to hold them close and not let the state claim they are the "bad protestors" who fought against fascism "inappropriately."

Revisiting Dark Souls III. It’s been a minute. Hard to believe this game is ten years old. What is time?
I’m going to keep trying to be the best person I can be and live as long as I can… if only to spite a world that favors the grotesque
I’ve gotta say, I’m really tired of good people dying young while evil vampiric ghouls carry on endlessly and continue to pollute the world with their presence
Back on my BS* * writing about kelpies again
Key to being an author: Never shut up about your books, even when they’re dead.
