When science people say to stay non-partisan, it's like being nice vs. kind. "Nice" is surface-level, not disrupting the peace... but when one side disproportionately acts in conflict w/ science, silence is nice, but it sure as hell ain't kind. Sometimes being non-partisan is the immoral response.
