So today marks the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. I don't really like to talk about my education since people tend to get a bit weird when I mention I did a masters degree in Soviet History. But it's wild looking back and seeing that during Covid this disaster was my focus
I have returned from my unwilling hiatus. And in style! Jenna McConnell is a great person to write with, especially in this year of shared bylines. Here’s a picture of what our story is about.
No fancy preview cards on Ghost, but there is a new paper out tomorrow @kingsbookstore.bsky.social, Atlantic News and at www.grandparade.news On the front @antonihfx.bsky.social and the Intern bring you a story about a deadly bus stop. On the back @landofsticks.bsky.social has a Transit update

Almost a year after the federal election, Mark Carney’s Liberals have secured a majority government. But what does that actually mean for average Canadians? And uh, is it…okay that he did this, primarily through floor crossings, a year after the election? I have thoughts:
New paper out tomorrow in Atlantic News and @kingsbookstore.bsky.social. On the front @katynotie.bsky.social brings us a dispatch from the last days of the #PylonWars. On the back @landofsticks.bsky.social opines Halifax's fiscal future and questionable subsidies.

When shifting your laptop a little on your desk is a semi-reliable way to make it freeze and need a hard reset, are you calling that a bug or a feature?
Go read words by the legendary Gabrielle Drapeau!
New paper is out tomorrow at Atlantic News and @kingsbookstore.bsky.social! On the front, a story by Gabrielle Drapeau about council secretly (in camera) cutting (reallocating) HRCE librarian funding. On the back @landofsticks.bsky.social covers a decade of HRM's IMP failures with FUN MATH.
I think the key to taking the bus is taking a breath and accepting that if you’re not 30 minutes early you will be 15 minutes late. And then hope your colleagues/ friends/ date/ boss has also taken transit before.
