These crop marks are a well-known phenomenon; we always get such stories with periods of dry weather. So do archaeologists make a point of doing aerial photography whenever there's a dry spell? It would seem like a good idea to make the most of the opportunity... 🤔

I created this animation to explain 7-segment display multiplexing for a forum post back in the noughties. It can now be found all over the internet; eg, instrumentationtools.com/seven-segmen...
